The Flight Desk

The airline owes you. Make it cheaper to pay than to stall.

Cancelled, delayed three hours or more, bumped, or still waiting on a refund they already agreed to. This is the desk our own method came from — an airline refund an agent sat on for thirteen months.

Start with what went wrong

What decides whether you are owed anything

Three facts, and most people get the first one wrong. It is the time you finally arrived that counts, not how late you took off — a two-hour departure delay that becomes a four-hour arrival is a claim; the reverse is not. Then the airport you departed from, which decides whose rules apply. Then the reason they gave: weather, air traffic control and security incidents remove the fixed compensation, though a refund and your out-of-pocket costs stay owed regardless.

We will not write you a demand for money the rules do not owe. A claim that overreaches gets a one-line refusal and costs you the credibility you need for everything after it.

Why this desk exists

The method behind this site did not start with hotels. It started with a flight: five passengers, a refund the airline confirmed in writing, and a booking agent who sat on it for thirteen months. What finally moved it was not a better-worded email — it was five letters sent on one morning, each naming a specific consequence on a specific date. The money arrived three days later.

Claim companies will do this for a third of your compensation. The whole method is free here, and the desk above is only the fast way to run it.
